SvG currently has the following vacancy in our office in Almaty which may require some domestic or international travel subject to project and client needs:
Position: Analyst, Investment Banking
Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan
Required experience and skills:
-
Up to 3 years relevant work experience involving exposure to corporate finance, M&A, advisory, capital markets or/and project finance transactions desirable;

Sound knowledge of the CIS region, with a good understanding of relevant industry sectors, including oil & gas, metals and mining, financial services sectors etc.;

Result-oriented with strong desire to gain exposure to complex investment banking transactions, and executing related tasks including the in-depth analysis of companies and markets, the preparation of professional documents and presentations, and the coordination of processes;

Solid understanding of, and initial experience with financial/company/industry analysis, financial models, and valuation methodologies;
-
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills, with a strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and AI as a distinct advantage;

Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment, multi-task, and present work results in a structured and cohesive manner.
Preferred education:
Graduate or Master degree in finance, economics or/and business from a leading university

Position: Associate, Investment Banking
Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan
Required experience and skills:

Minimum of 3-4 years relevant work experience in an investment banking, financial advisory, private equity/venture capital or law role with focus on M&A, advisory, capital markets, financial or/and corporate restructuring;

Emerging market experience essential, preferably in CIS environment, and focus on relevant sectors such as oil & gas, metals and mining, financial services, energy/renewables etc. welcome;

Ability and strong desire to run investment banking transactions from start to finish;

Strong technical skills (analysis, financial modeling, structuring, etc.) expected, and experience with financial data and analytics platforms (e.g. Capital IQ, Bloomberg or similar) desirable;

Excellent conceptual and interpersonal skills, as well as superb communication, writing and presentation skills including the ability to develop and supervise junior staff in the preparation of materials to support investment banking engagements;

Ability to perform under high pressure and multi-task;
Preferred education:
Strong academic background in finance, economics or/and business, Master degree or MBA desirable
Knowledge:
